International world-class design studio to envisage BEM Hotel’s interior design

The world-class Amsterdam-based Marcel Wanders studio will design the interior of BEM Hotel, a building complex located in Budapest. Designed on a synergy concept, the elegant hotel and office building will be completed on Bem square by 2023. The hotel will maintain its monument-like facade to pay its tribute to the past while also presenting a vision for the future with its services. The internationally acclaimed design studio – whose clients include Baccarat, KLM and Louis Vuitton – will follow this concept.

The long-abandoned Radetzky-barrack will be renovated and transformed into a hotel and office building over the next two years. The BEM Hotel & BEM Center complex offers flexibly customizable category A offices, a stylistic boutique hotel, a fine-dining restaurant, and a number of services that the surrounding area of Buda lacks. The BEM Hotel facilitated with 130 rooms and 91 parking lots will have a bar, restaurant, and several conference rooms. According to plans, the complex will be dedicated to the public by the first half of 2024.

„Budapest will be enriched with a unique, upscale boutique hotel that will not only carry on historical heritage but also meet 21st century challenges. Behind the monument-like façade, an elegant and modern interior design will take place, designed by the world-class Marcel Wanders interiordesign studio”says Miklós Bíró, property development project manager.

The Amsterdam-based interior design studio lead by creative directors, Marcel Wanders and Gabriele Chiave, has created design for clients such as Baccarat, KLM and Louis Vuitton. Some works of Marcel Wanders can be seen in the world’s most famous modern art and design museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Pompidou Center in Paris, or the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.

“Marcel Wanders studio’s mission is to turn the most exciting design dreams into reality by representing the love and passion of life. Our aim is to design exciting, provocative, divisive, surprising, unique, and uplifting interiors. We’re going to envisage the interior of BEM Hotel in this spirit”,adds Marcel Wanders studio regarding the project.
